Lake Event

This year, the committee for the Mustang Memorial Fund annual event, recognized that they should make the event less about it being a motorcycle event, and focus on the time spent together at the lake, remembering our loved ones.  On July 9th, the 4th annual fundraiser took place with a nice ride on some of the back roads of Nodaway and Worth Counties.  We rode into Lake Mozingo and was met by volunteers cooking up hamburgers and the band Gypsywind.  After a few games, some good food and even better fellowship, the day’s events concluded with the drawing of a winner for the 2016 Indian motorcycle.  At the end of the weeks’s events, the Mustang Memorial Fund is pleased to announce that in 2017, a $2000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of North Nodaway.  Check out the gallery page by clicking here

Meet 2016 Awardee Koby Reynolds

This year’s recipient of the Mustang Memorial Scholarship was Koby Reynolds.  Koby lives in Hopkins and is enrolled for college at Missouri State University.  He plans to major in Agricultural Business and Ag Enterprise Management.  During his senior year, Koby was very active in the school, participating in football, baseball and basketball, as well as working for himself in lawn care.  Koby was a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, FBLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the student council.  Koby’s plans for the future include completing his education with at least a 3.0 gpa with as little student debt as possible.  Congratulations Koby.  We know you will make North Nodaway proud in your future endeavors.
